Brawny. Sanction counts as if he were one size larger for the purpose of determining his carrying capacity.

Living Construct. Sanction is immune to disease. He does not need to eat or breathe, but he can ingest food and drink if he wishes. Instead of sleeping, he enters an inactive state for 4 hours each day. He does not dream in this state; he is fully aware of his surroundings and notice approaching enemies and other events as normal.

Composite Plating. Sanction’s construction incorporates wood and metal, granting him a +1 bonus to Armor Class.

Divine Sense. As an action, Sanction can open his awareness to detect celestials, fiends, or undead within 60 feet of him that are not behind total cover until the end of his next turn. He knows the type (celestial, fiend, or undead) of any being whose presence he senses, but not its identity. Within the same radius, he also detects the presence of any place or object that has been consecrated or desecrated, as with the hallow spell. He can use this feature three times. When he finishes a long rest, he regains all expended uses.

Lay On Hands. Sanction’s blessed touch can heal wounds. He has a pool of healing power that replenishes when he takes a long rest. With that pool, he can restore a total number of hit points equal to his paladin leveI x 5. As an action, he can touch a creature and draw power from the pool to restore a number of hit points to that creature, up to the maximum amount remaining in his pool. Alternatively, he can expend 5 hit points from his pool of healing to cure the target of one disease or neutralize one poison affecting it. He can cure multiple diseases and neutralize multiple poisons with a single use of Lay on Hands, expending hit points separately for each one. This feature has no effect on undead and constructs.

Equipment. Chain mail, shield, long sword, javelins x5, explorer’s pack, traveler’s clothes, signet ring, identification papers, seal of the King’s Citadel, holy symbol, pouch, tiny silver bell.

Money. 10 g.p.

Unarmed. Melee Attack: +3 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 4 bludgeoning damage.
Longsword. Melee Attack: +5 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 1d8 + 2 slashing damage.
Javelin. Ranged Weapon Attack: +5 to hit, reach 5 ft., range 20/60 ft., one target. Hit: 1d4 + 2 piercing damage.

Sanction receives shelter and succor from members of the King’s Citadel and the community of Breland. This help comes in the form of shelter and meals, and healing when appropriate, as well as occasionally risky assistance, such as a band of local citizens rallying to aid a sorely pressed knight in a fight, or those who support the order helping to smuggle him out of town when he is being hunted unjustly.

Personality Traits: I may not tell outright lies, but I will certainly embellish a deed.
Ideal: I must earn glory in battle, for myself and for the King’s Citadel.
Bond: I am a loyal servant of the King’s Citadel.
Flaw: The monster I fought during the Last War still leaves me quivering in fear.
